On the Governor’s order heavilyarmed national guardsmen raided two fashionable clubs on the outskirts of the citv last night and seized elaborate gambling equipment, causing a panic among the 225 patrone. Alany of the®? were women, who fainted' and added to tlie excitement. Fifty men attacked a newspaper photographer. whom the guardsmen rescued unconscious. The equipment was later destroyed and burned in a bonfire. A considerable amount of money left on the tables will revert to the State.
