LONDON, Aug. 13. From to-dav wage.® and salaries throughout the British railways will be reduced by 2£ per cent. A conference yesterday endorsed tin? provisional agreement. The Railway Clerks Association overwhelmingly approved the settlement. ~ , ~ Air J. H. Thomas described the unanimous support of the reduction, by all the unions ns a. victory for commonsense over extremism.
