NORMANBY POLICE STATION.
NEW BUILDING TO BE ERECTED
Preparation' of plans and specification for a new police station at Normanby is now in hand and it is expected that tenders for the work will be called albout the end of the pre'sent month.
Information to this effect has been received by the Hon. O. J. Hawke n, member for the district, from the Minister of Justice, under whose notice Mr Hawken had previously brought the necessity for the provsiiion of .a new police station and residence at Normlanhy. The matter was first mentioned by Mr Hawken in October last and he again took up the matter with the Justice Department recently, with the result that, lie has now received the advice given above.
