ADDRESS BY ORGANISER. Mi S'S MoLay, young people’s temperance organiser, addressed a large gathering of mothers and friends on Friday afternoon in the Methodist Bible Class room. She spoke from the words of Finances 'Willard: “Woman, God’s great reserve foree,” and referred to the women of history and the good they have done for humanity from the Bible days up to the present time. Miss Hiillll (who presided in the absence of the president through illness) extended a hearty vote of thanks to the speaker for her interesting address. Several menjberx of the Loyal Temperance Legion gave musical items. Afternoon tea was served by union members.
In the evening Miiss MoLay spoke in the Presbyterian Halil, lbu-t owing to eon liter-attraction s there was a email audience. Mr. Dixon presided. Miss MoLay spoke on the founding of the W.O.T.U. by the late Frances Willard, whose family had greatly suffered through th© evils of strong drink. Miss MoLay wiftll address the young people on Sunday afternoon, and union members on Monday afternoon.
