RUAKURA STATE FARM.
Dr. C. J. Reakes, Director-General of Agriculture, paid a, visit to the Ruakura Earm of Instruction last week. He told a Times’ representative that he was very pleased with the progress which the larrn is making, and said the pastures and stock are looking particularly well. WUiat is more, the returns are showing a substantial increase. The Director-General also said lie was glad to see the farm training school functioning well. There were at present 33 students there and there was accommodation, since the manager, M r H. Monroe, had oceiipied the new homestead, for 25, more in the okl homestead. Dr. Reakes considered the school would pro, e an excellent feeder to the Massey Memorial College. It accepted youths from 16 years of age and gave them a good elementary, seienti'p. and sound practical training. He I and. he observed, met parents of students at . Ruakura from time to time, and in every case they had been very well pleased with the results.
