BJ.QCIARTON TRACK NOTES' (Bv Telegraph—Press Association., CTIRISTCH,UItCtH, Aug. 10. Tihe weather was mikl for training operations at Riecarton. this morning, but proceedings were very quiet. Some of the trainers gave thear horses useful tasks, but there was no serious galloping. Alatu and P'assin’ Through strode over a circuit at a strong pace. Rlrigiadlier Bill and Kii'llburn did a working gallop of six furlongs. Yesterday's northern "arrivals were given useful tasks, and they al!t look well. Scion moved freely in a working gallop of one mile. Prompter and Standard were schooled over the hurdles, after jumping one fairly well they finished at the second, where Prompter loot his rider and Standard refused. Rangiawhio and Pickaninny gave fair exhibitions over four hurdles. Most of the horses out were given easy pace work on the sand. To-day’.s arrivals from the north are Nucleus, Home Made, and Boy, wliile Dollar Princess, the trotter, lias arrived from North Canterbury.
