FARM NEWS. Quite a large sale of dairy .stock and other cattle took place at the A-uroa galeyards this week under the auspices of the Farmers’ Co-op. Bidding was brisk and good prices were realised for all kind's of stock, especially forward eolnsi and' heifers. Mr John Scheuber’s here! attracted buyers from all parts of Tarauaki. and the demand for Jersey stock still seems. keen, notwithtuncling the Tokaora, tests. . a , Dir W. King, from Midhirsfc, lials taken *up residence at the farm recently piircliasocl from All- W alter Co VI ins, on the Auroa Road, and Air H. Ewans intends to move into Iris new property on the Oeo Road as soon. a,s,his house is finished.

THE SOCCER CLUB. The local Soccer team and the Pipe Band team played a friendly gamp at Auroa last Saturday. The game ended in a draw, each side scoring two- goals. For the club Tozer aiml A. Mugge ridge scared, while 0- Rye was responsible for hoith goats scored by the band. The .game was unique as no referee was in charge and each side mutually agreed when the rules were broken. EUCHRE PARTY.

Tbo last of a series of ten euchre parties was bold last Wednesday evening. The patronage was 'ess than usual, but a, pleasant evening was spent. The prize,, were won by Mr J. A meeting of the ladles of the Auroa Branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was 1 held on Wednesday afternoon about twenty members being present.
