.GREEKS SUBSCRIBE TO RELIEF FUND. WELLINGTON, Aug. 6. A meeting of Greek residents 1 in Wellington was held yesterday with the object of forming a fund to assist sufferers by the recent disastrous earthquake in Corinth, which had rendered thousand® homeless and destitute.

Mr. Dyer, Dominion Consul for Greece, presided, and read letters’ from the Minister of Foreign Affairs .in Athens and the Grefck Minister in " London. A resolution of sincere sympathy was passed, stating that in proof a sum- of money had been subscribed, which Mr. Dyer was requested to forward for the sufferers. A large amount was collected in the hall, and subscriptions were received by the- Consul from Greeks in other partis: of the Dominion.
