CANADA RELINQUISHING HER. INTEREST. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) VANCOUVER, July 20. Canada is relinquishing all interest in the Pacific cable, a major provision of the cable and wireless merger which was negotiated in England. Ottawa and London will announce details simultaneously, probably on Monday. Canada will receive a. generous cash consideration. It is understood that the proposition was eagerly accepted, as there was no prospect of profit. The other provisions of the merger affecting Canada hare not been disclosed.
