The Wafd Party is astounded at the suspension of Egyptian Parliamentary Government for three years. Nahas Pasha, the Premier, and the full Wafd executive, were determined to hold a meeting, but the 'police , restricted the proceedings to & tea (party with sixty guests. Stones wore thrown, the police clearing the streets and making ten arrests. The newspaper ‘ ‘ Alahram ’ ’ soy's the Wafd reserves the right to .pursue tho struggle for the country's independence. The Egyptian members of the Bar have decided to strike for three days as a protest against the suspension of parliamentary government.
