SYDNEY, July 3
The State Cabinet has decided to institute criminal proceedings against certain persons named in the report of the Civic Royal Commission where there is proper evidence. A FATAL ACCIDENT. SYDNEY, July 3. A beam supporting- scaffolding on which three men were working at the Australian G'aslight Company’s new holders at Alexandria, snapped, throwing three men on to the concrete floor a distance of 22 feet. Messrs Edward Garden and William Clark were killed and another man was seriously injured. RETURNING TO HIS FAMILY. SYDNEY, July 3. James Joseph 'Dwyer, the soldier suffering from loss of memory, is returning to his wife and family -in Dunedin by the Mnhono, which sails on July 13.
TWO MEN FOUND DEAD.
■SYDNEY, July 3,
Noticing water running from the bathroom of a flat in her premises, occupied by James Simpson and Jack BrudsOn, the owner forced the door and found the two men dead. They had been asphyxiated by carbon monoxide gas, and had been dead about eight hours. Apparently 'they went to the bathroom, turned the .bath heater on, and were immediately overcome by the gas.
DETECTIVES ’ INVESTIGATIONS,
SYDNEY, July 4
Detectives while searching a confectionery shop were a double murder was convicted ' during the week end, unearthed money hidden in many parts of the building, chiefly in crevices. They also ascertained that one dead woman had bank deposits amounting to £2300 but one bank book was missing. A neighbour informed -the police that Miss Falvev told him some time ago that a certain person who owed her money had a dispute over it. The detectives are handicapped by the fact 'that nobody saw the crime committed or detected 'the number of the murderers’ motor bicycle, but it, is believed that he must have been acquainted with the locality.

At a medical inspection of school children attending the Oessnook ‘School 03 were found to be suffering from malnutrition, nnd ’.in 21 of 'the cases it was due to distress in the coalfields. THEATRICAL PARTY INJURED ■SYDNEY. July 4. A car collision occurred at Randwick in which four .actors and one 'actress from the Theatre Royal wore injured. Ben Lewin received a fractured .skull. Leon Gordon, John Darcy, James Patterson each suffered head injuries and shock and May Collins, an actress, abrasions and shock.
