JERVIS BAY INCIDENT.
STOW A WAYS SENT TO PRISON. NO COMMENT ON CAPTAIN’S ACTION. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) Received 12.5 p.m. to-day. COLOMBO, .June 25. The stowaways wore convicted on .four counts and sentenced to five and a half months’ imprisonment. LONDON, June 25. Mr Larkin, London manager of the line, said that the Jervis Bay incident was merely a storm in a, teacup, and that he could not comment on the* captain’s action till he obtained a personal explanation. He had instructed the captain not to provide the press with any more exciting messages.
