ALLEGED BREAKING AND

ENTERING

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, June 22. As a sequel to burglaries in the Winton district, James Brown Doake, aged 32, and Francis August Stempa, aged 29, Ijoth unemployed engineers, were charged with breaking and entering the shop of Duncan MoKereher at Lochiel and stealing goods valued at £63. They were also charged, together with Frederick Thomas Quinlivan, a rabbiter, aged 39, with breaking into the storeroom of the Fanners’ Rest Hotel at Oreti and stealing a quantity of liquor. They were remanded for a week.
