M.U.; 1.Q.0.F. - The ordinary meeting of the Loyal Union Lodge, M.U., 1.U.0.F., was held m the LoyaL Orange Hall on Tuesday. Biro. Q. Tidswelil,- N.G., presided over a la.ii- gathering qt members. ■ Three members ' Were placed on the medical list. • Tne : district secretary advised of the . formation of the new* Hospital benefit in the northern Taranaki district, similar to. the Hawera district. P.G. Bro. D. H. Briggs reported on the meeting, of the hospital radio committee. One or two member® volunteered to assist "with the scheme. The secretary of the social eonimitte reported on the successful dance'held Ait Nonnianlhy last week.) .also that the social committee was holding a dance at i’okaora. next Friday arid another later on in July. ,• "... - .'
' 'Two new. candidates, were initiated into the lodge arid order and welcomed in the usual manner. Members of Loyal Kaponga Lodge notified their intention of being present next lodge night, when the challenge at cards would ibe played. After, lodge business had been dealt with supper was partaken of.
