Air and Mrs H. B. Taylor, of Tokaora, returned to Taranaki on Saturday after a motor tour to the Hawke’s Bay district.

Air. At C. Crighton, of Hawera, left to-dav oh a visit to AVellington, where lie is’ to attend the annual conference of the N.Z.R.S.A. as the delegate of the South Taranaki Association.

Air O. I jamb, -of Hawera, has been asked to .sing at the big Masonic gathering to be held to-morrow evening at New Plymouth in honour of the Gov-ernor-GeneraL’s visit to Taranaki.

Adjutant and Airs. Rogan, from Queensland, Australia, the newlyappointed managers of the Salvation Army Boys’ Home in Eltham, arrive by the mail train to-night, and will assume control immediately. A Press Association message from Brisbane announces the death of Air. Justice Real, a. member of the Queensland judiciary for thirty years. Air. Alan Sutherland, of Hansard Parliamentary staff, has been spending a short holiday as the guest of Air. E. K. Cameron, of Hawera. Air. Sutherland visited Alt. Egmont yesterday, and left on liis return to Wellington by mail train this morning. Among the guests at the Commercial Hotel are Alessrs Alorgan, Jess, Alain and Steel, of Hamilton, who are touring the Noith Island. Air. and Airs. N. AlcCarthy, of AVan«anui, are guests at the Egmont Hotel-. - Air. J. A. Wilkes, of New Guinea, who is on a holiday tour of New Zealand, is at present in Hawera and staying at the Central Hotel,
