COTTON GROWING.
DEVELOPMENT IN QUEENSLAND

TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Received 11.20 a.m. to-day. CANBERRA, June 1. The Federal Ministry has approved of the expenditure of £3,500,000 on irrigation and subdivision into seven thousand farms the Dawson Valley, Queensland, where cotton growing has been a success. The Queensland Government, which planned the scheme, announces that each farm will be capable ox supporting five people.
