WOOL AND SKIN SALES. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION-BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT.) LONDON, May 17. At the wool sales, 9430 bales were offered, of which 1683 were Australian and 5704 New Zealand. There was an average lot of merinos and greasy crossbreds, and a splendid selection of scoured crossbreds and slipes. The market was very firm and there was Keen trade competition. New “ Zealand clips sold included: Taliora 2Q>}d, 19Id ; Kenley Downs, 27d, 23d; Haldon, 48d, 46d; Candmel,' 35d, 30Jd. Bradford market shows slightly improved tone but business is very slow. Sixty-fours, 54d; prices others unchanged. « At the sheepskin sales 2766 were offered, of which 151 Q were Australian and 509 1 New Zealand. There was a good selection of Australian shortwools, and a good all-round selection. New Zealand prices were unchanged. America bought freely of full crossbreds and France short-wools, -Yorkshire participated all round. '
