LONDON, April 17. Sir Alfred Mond, at the City Livery Club’s luncheon, referring, to AngloAmerican co-operation, said that he Imped it would be ffblo to render a useful .service to both countries. Cooperation between the English-speak-ing nations would benefit the world. The modern tendency to amalgamate industrially and internationally was an attempt, to control tHe industrial loroes, instead of allowing the industrial forces to control them. Socialism was not adaptable to modern needs, and the only means of raising the standard of living was prosperity, to which State interference and regulation was not helpful. Amalgamation of sound concerns, the creation of new and larger enterprises with bigger finance units would prosper. All engaged must substitute for class wars class co-operation.
