SIMON COMMISSION.
LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OPPOSES GRANT.

The Viceroy will undoubtedly certify the grant 'as being essential and the work of the commission will proceed unchecked. —“Sydney Sun” cable_
This commission has been sent to India to inquire into and report on matters affecting representation and government of India.
