The committee of the Federal Council of Churches urged President Coolidge to help in restricting naval •programme of the Avorld’s powers.' Doctor McFarland, council generalsecretary, said that the council depreciated the American _ programme, since it jeopardised the nited States s proposals for peace, and also cost too much.
