B COY. SECOND CADET BATTALION. LIFE IN CAMP. The Egmont A. and P. show grounds are at present the scene of great activity, and bear a military appearthe. occasion being the periodical camp of B Coy. 2nd Cadet Battalion. Taranaki Regiment. There are. 162 officers and boys un der canvas, and judging by the many smiling faces to be. seen on all sides, a “Hanvera Star” reporter, who visaed the camp to-day, came away with the impression that the hoys u<-i . thoroughly enjoying their life Ca The”"camp lias been extremely fortunate as regards the weather, there beino- only one wet day, and this was o-iven up to lectures by the .staff officers (men of actual war exepnence) and instructions on the most interesting nhaseo of warfare.. The idea of these camps is to give the boys sound ideas of discipline, cleanliness and clean hying, also to. foster sound school spirit, comaradiere, and esprit de coips. The officer commanding the camp n> Lieut. Harris and with him are associated Sergeant-Majors A. E. bteiens, J L. Rowe and P.
