WELLINGTON WAR MEMORIAL. [by telegraph—press association. I WELLINGTON, Feb. 16. The Wellington War Memorial Executive resolved upon the site in front of Parliamentary gj-ounds for the Wellington memorial, and it- rejected Mr. llurst Seagar’s proposal to change the site to near the Basin Reserve. Me. Seagar pointed out that the memorial would block the best view, of the Parliamentary grounds and the buildings, while the Basin Reserve site Mould be a. commanding one. Tenders are to be called this month and the foundation stone laid on Anzac Day.
