' MOTOR CYCLIST HURT. [by telegraph cress association.J DUNEDIN, Feb. 16. Laurie Gillingham, a single man, sustained injuries to his head through crashing into , a motor-car u'hile riding a motor-cycle to-day. He was admitted to hospital. FATAL ACCIDENT IN A GARAGE. * WESTPORT, Feb. 16.
An inquest opened this morning concerning the death of Peter Egan, u'ho M-as electrocuted in a garage last night. Evidence M’as given by Patrick Egan, who disclosed that both, were working oil a new portable light, and the deceased .had tlie light in his left hand and an adapter in the right. When connection was made deceased M-as seized with the current. It was useless for u’itness to attempt to pull out the plug. It was the first time the light had ever been attached to this plug. The inquest was adjourned sine die.
