CONVERSION OF A CAR. (BY TELEGRAPH—PTIESr ASSOCIATION. ) AUCKLAND, Feb. 16. A sentence of three months’ imprisonment was passed in the Police Court today on Henrv John Tliaekwell, aged 41! who was charged with converting to his own use a motor car valued at €l5O, the property of *j. S. Maxwell and Go., Ltd- On two further charges of obtaining liquor during the currency of a prohibition order and of failing to produce a driver’s license when caked lpon, the accused was convicted and discharged. All the charges were admitted.
Senior-Sergeant Cummings said the. car had been left in Hobson Stiect about 4 p.m. on the previous afternoon. The owner had not locked it, and returning shortly before 4.30 p.m. had found it was missing.
