LOYAL UNION LODOE.
MANCHESTER UNITY ODDEELLOVVS. The usual meeting of the Loyal Union Lodge was lie Id on Tuesday evening, Bro. A. Tidswell, N.Gpresiding over a good attendance of members. Two new members were initiated into the Order and welcomed in the usual manner. Bro. N. T. Bradley reported having visited members in hospital. Bro. C. Gates asked that a letter of thanks be sent to Loyal Hamilton Lodge for their kindness to him while in the Hamilton Hospital. P.G.’s Bros. G. Collins and J. Wallis reported having visited the various lodges in South Taranaki with the exception of Loyal Kaponga Lodge re combined picnic and social. All lodges are unanimous for a combined social evening to be held Ihter in the year. On Monday evening several members paid a surprise visit to Loyal Midhirst Lodge, and all had .an enjoyable time. An invitation was received from Loyal Stratford Lodge to the unveiling of the memorial tablet to the late P.D.G.M. Bro. C. D. Sole. The unveiling is to he on the evening of March 22 at the conclusion of the annual conference. Several matters to come before' the district conference were discussed at some length. The following remit was passed to go before the conference: “That the district provide a trophy for a ritual competition between the various lodges.” Supper was handed round by the sisters at the conclusion of business.
