The Now Zealand national swimming and diving championships were continued this evening, and several fresh records were established. In the 100 yards junior girls’ championship, Miss M. Smith (Auckland) established a New Zealand fresh water record for the distance. D. P. Lindsay (Canterbury retained the title in the .880 yards men’s national chnmpiomshin, and established a fresh record. W. Cameron (Wellington) established a new record in. the 100 yards intermediate boys’ championship, clipping 8-s.se- off the record. Miss. E. Stocklev (Auckland) lowered Miss L. Connlestone’s record for the 109 metres New Zealand backstroke swim bv 18seo.
