FATALITIES AT CHRISTCHURCH,
(BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 14.
An inquest was opened this morning concerning the deaths of Charles' William Nixon, 56, and George William Clark, -6S, who were fatally hurt when a brick wall collapsed at C. E. Otley and Co.’s timber yards yesterday. After evidence of identification had been taken, the coroner (Mr. Mosley) adjourned the inquest so that the police could make inquiries. Later in the morning the coroner, accompanied by representatives of the Labour Department and the secretary of the Carpenetrs’ Union, inspected the site.
