INTER-STATE TOURNEY. NEW ZEALAND DRAWS WITH AVEST AUSTRALIA. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT MELBOURNE, Jan. 4. In inter-State and Dominion bowling matches, New Zealand scored 92 and West Australia 92 in four rinks. Hunt , AVcston, Eagieton, Clark (New Zealand) 22, defeated AVest Australia 15; AVesfc Australia 30, defeated AVheeler, Strahan, Farrow, Hobday (New Zealand) 26; West Australia 22, defeated Goldwater, A. McGregor, Rudd, Thomas (New Zealand) 20; AVest Australia 25, defeated Short, Drummond, Goldwater, L. Hills (New Zealand) 24.

The games were' even throughout. New Zealand were one up at the finish of the play in three rinks. Hills’ rink was two up early, but West Australia bowled well. Hills twice averted defeat by making the last bowl of West Australia’s skipper. PATE A MEETS AVAA7EIRLEY. ANNUAL ALL-DAY GAME, The annual all-day game between Patea and AA r averley was played on the Waverley green on Tuesday, resulting in ,a win for Patea by 12 points. In the absence of the president-, Mr. R. P. Palmer, vice-president, welcomed the Patea players. Play was commenced, but a sharp, shower brought a short cessation of play during the forenoon.

At the lunch adjournment AVaverley were leading by 31 points. Resuming after lunch Patea took the lead, finally winning by 12 points. At the conclusion of the games Mr. A. Christensen, on behalf of the Patea Club, thanked the AVaverley Club for an enjoyable game and also for the hospitality extended.
