ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
CHfLD KILLED IN STREET ACCIDENT BY CABLE-PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 2. Yvonne Lawson, five years and ten months old, the daughter of T Lawson, North New Brighton, was run over by a car driven by C. S. Hardy, of the Agricultural Department, on Saturday evening and died in hospital. It is understood that the child ran out rrom behind another car into the near wheel of Hardy’s ear. TRAM AND ’BUS COLLIDE. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 3. A collision between a tram car and motorbus at the intersection of Stanmore Road and Heerford Street yesterday morning rwaited in two of the ,’bu® passengers being injured. They were D, R. Walker, of Invercargill!, and. liis wife, both of whom received cuts and suffered from shock. They wev3 admitted to hospital, hut are not : n a serious condition.
