MURDER OF A CHEMIST.
HICKMAN’S CONFESSION.

Received 1.15 p.m. to-day. NEW i'ORK, Dec. 29. When askea by a Eos Angeles detective it ever no had killed anyone besides Marion Parker, Hickman replied: “1 killed Ivy Thoms, a Passndena druggist, while Willoughby Hunt and myshir were holding up ins place on Christmas Eve last year." The police immediately arrested Hunt, who strenuously denied the crime.
Hickman recalled details of the shooting and declared that Hunt was wounded by a policeman while fleeing from the scene.
The gaol physician examined Hunt and found a outlet scar on his shoulder. Hunt later confessed, but claimed that Hickman iired the fatal shots.
