Signor Belluzzo, Minister for National Economy, states that there is every prospect, in a few years, that Italy will be independent of all imports of wheat. There are 8000 experimental stations, 'while 750 stations, equipped with scientific appliances, supply selected seeds, with the result that Italy’s wheat production could be nearly doubled without increasing the area of production.
