MOTOR REGULATIONS.
NOT FOR CHRISTMAS' (By 'Telegraph—Special to "The Star.' 1 ) . WELLINGTON, Dec. 23. It, has been definitely decided by tlie Government that, tlie proposed new motor regulations will not be brought into force before the Christmas hobdays. They are finally drafted and are. under review by the Ministers. It is understood that a number of useful suggestions which were made by motoring bodie-s, have been incorporated in tlie new rules of the road and that despite the fact that the dimming question is much debated, and there i-s a good deal of difference of opinion a-s to- the wisdom or otherwise of tlie practice. Complete dimming by switching out the bright lights is to be prohibited, if Cabinet approves of the final draft of the regulations. When they do come into operation it- will be foiiju? that- they confirm so closely to what has become generally accepted a-s practice of motorists, that no- road revolution will accompany their enforcement.
