Following a quarret in a lane iff <-r.e of the main thoroughfares in Leichhardt shortly before midday, Police Constable Airtbmr Ford fatally shot with a revolver Mrs Florence Laws .four bullets taking effect. He then fatally .shot himself. Crowds of people were a few yard*-' away, and, on rushing to the scene, found evidences of a violent struggle. Mrs Laws was dead and Ford unconscious. The latter, who died on route to the hospital, was on sick Lave suffering from mental depression.
