The Tawa Flat tunnelling trouble is nor yet settled, states a Wellington Press Association message. The Workers’ Union have complained of unsuitable conditions which the contractors deny. The contractors state they have met the workers in conference twice without satisfaction. The men they dismissed were dismissed! for not working fast enough and others for insobriety. The contractors denied the statement that wages wore low and state that most of The men engaged are doing tunnelling for the first time.
