ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
TWO' FISHERMEN MISSING. (UY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION..’ AUCKLAND', Nov. 30. Fears are entertained for the safety of two fishermen, Owen. Jones, aged about 40, married, with three children, and Donald Wardle, ia young mail who, it is understood, arrived recently from England. They left Auckland on the launch Huana on Sunday morning, anchoring off the north-east end of Tiritiri Island in the Hauraki Gulf on Monday -afternoon. They were seen from the island leaving the launch in a dinghy about seven o’clock in the evening to set their nets. They nave not been seen since. The launch was found at anchorage today unoccupied, and the dinghy was missing. CHILD STRANGLED IN WINDOW NAPIER. Nov. 30. A child, aged oj years, Dorothy Leyland Green, met her death this afternoon under somewhat unusual circumstances. The little girl was left -at home alone and when the mother returned at five o’clock .she found her hanging with her head caught in a window, apparently the child had mounted a block, and put her bead out of the window, which was open only five o. six inches when the block moved from under her and her head became caught and she was .strangled. Deceased was an only child. MOTOR GARI , ACCIDENT. DUNEDIN, Nov. 30. Thrown through the windscreen of 'a car, a man sustained head injuries which necessitated his removal to hospital this afternoon. He was a single man, Edward Callery, living at Mcßae's Flat; and was a passenger, at the time of the accident, in a car bound for the Flat. Apparently the car ran down the bill into a- hank.
