(British Official Wireless. ) RUGBY, Nov. 29. Eoyal Air Force machines have ibeen offered to the Egyptian Government to. combat the plague of locusts, which is causing great damage in parts of Egypt. PARIS, Nov. 29. The mysterious murders of two mid-dle-aged men, who were found at different times in the woods near Billymontigny with throat wounds, was cleared up by the confession of a Polish schoolboy, .12 years of age, named Stanislaus Chelminish, who also betrayed his accomplices, who were aged 13 and 15 years respectively. The trio’s motive was robbery. CANBERRA, Nov. 30. In the House of Representatives, after a lengthy, acrimonious debate, the Rt. Hon. S. M. Bruce announced that the Government did not intend to press the clause in the Income Tax Assessment Bill exempting companies from paying taxation on dividends paid or due to absentee shareholders. The clause met with strong opposition, both from Labourites and a number of Government supporters. LONDON, Nov. 29. The Under-Secretary for Home Affairs, Captain D. H. Hacking, informed a questioner in the House of Commons that he was aware that some authorities feared a prospective world shortage of tin. He was following closely the discussions as to the possibility of stabilising prices, but did not think a scientific inquiry by the Government into the possibility of conserving the Empire’s tin resources would at present be advantageous.
