In the House of Commons Captain Hacking told a questioner that the Dominions in 1926 supplied 52 per cent, of Britain’s wheat imports and 25 per cent, of the meat. The United States supplied 31.8 and 12.8 ped cent, respectively. Asked whether the Admiralty would consider the advisability of limiting tenders for supply of beef for home commands to the Dominions and British grown products, Major Headlam said that apart from local contracts at home ports, which were restricted to Dominion and Home grown meat, the admiralty preferred to adhere to the present practice. Commander Locker Lampson informed the questioner that he had just received a medical report from the French Government stating that the transfer of Lord Terrington to England for. extradition could not- be attempted, without endangering his health. MIGRATION AND-COSTS. LONDON, Nov. 21. The Hit. Hon. Stanley Baldwin, in answer to questions, stated that for the seven months ended October 31, of the migrants assisted under the Empire Settlement Act, 20.000 went tq Canada 16,700 to Australia -and 1700 to New Zealand. The costs to the respective Governments were: Britain and Canada £200.000 and £90.000; Britain and Australia. '£200.000 each; Britain, and New Zealand £225.000 each. During the past five years, 7305 boys aged from 14 to 17 had gone to Canada under the voluntary societies’ care.
