“DAMN” TOO MILD.
EXPLOSION BEYOND WORDS. LONDON THEATRE EPISODE. LONDON, Oct. 9. The explosion of a fuse-box outside the Pavilion Theatre blew a hole in the pavement, knocked over a woman, anil burst a taxi tyre. It brought out three lire engines and 50 police and, reaching the climax, it put out the word “damn” in the illuminated sign of a play. “One Damned 'i’hing After Another.”
