Dr. Dorothy Logan, in an emphatic reply to the French allegations discrediting her channel, swim, oays that she is disgusted at the sportsmanship and amazed, at the scepticism displayed. It was absolute rot to take a legal official boat, though the always advocated the appointment of real experts to oversee swimmers attempts. She, at any rate-, had a number .of responsible persons in, the beat accompanymo- her, persons whose ward she hoped wa-g honured. Dr. Logan expressed the warmest indignation at the statement in the French newspapers that it was- impossible for an unknown swimmer to have beaten the time of Miss Ederle, the .best woman swimmer in the world. Dr. Lagan’s reply is: “Who says Miss Eklerle is the best in the world. Who says I am unknown after spending 13 hours in a rough sea last year?”
