DUNEDIN TRAINING NOTES

For early workers the tracks at Wingatui this morning were in firstclass order, but rain commenced about eight o’clock, and after that little work of importance was done. Murray Aynsley, with Starfliglit, and R. J. Mason, with Eulalie and Ghalimar, arrived overnight, and these houses did slow work.

Don Jose ran four furlongs, the last three taking 42 3-ssec. Pink Note, looking very "well, ran nine furlongs, the last eight taking 1.48.

Going easily, Set Sail beat Honey over a mile in 1.52, the last seven taking 1.37 4-5. Brightling beat Receipt, who was not ridden out, over live furlongs in 1.6 1-5.

Comic Song ran five furlongs alone in 1.6 2-5, going well. Dubious and Atapo cleared right away from Tholomon in a schooling task over four fences, and finished together. Martarama gained friends for the guineas by the manner in which he covered four furlongs in 52see. Royal Saxon beat Wingatui over six furlongs in 1.20 2-5. Miss Winkie ran four furlongs in 54 2-5. going well. Dumblane beat Citralia, Waving Corn and Royal Flower over three furlongs in 36 3-ssec, doing it well. Overhaul and Black Duke ran six furlongs in 1.20, both looking well.

Amorist and Court Jester ran five furlongs in 1.8 2-5. Gay Sonnet worked nine furlongs at a strong pace, moving very attractively. Crnifrmore and PnfE took 04- see to run half a mile.

WharnolifTe. Satrap, Count Cavonr, '■'"nter.sign, Rotor and F. J. McKay, with four, arrived at midday.
