An abundance of light and space are two of the desirable features wnich impress a visitor to the up-to-date billiard saloon recently opened by the firm of Coburn and Son in spacious quarters situated above the premises of A 1 r. A. F. Anderson in Union Street. This firm commenced business some four years ago with three tables, adding another later, and have now extended their scope so as to simultaneous! v accommodate live sets of players.
The l chief aim of the firm is to provide facilities for the playing of the popular indoor game of billiards and snooker under the best conditions obtainable. The tables available, which include three made by the firm of Alcock and two by Wright and Danish, are acknowledged to give an almost perfect medium for enjoying the pastime. An expert is always in attendance. and free tuition of the several games is offered. The new saloon, which several keen exponents ;,a'.e characterised as the host in the district, generally offers ideal facilities for a true appreciation of the sport.
