ELTHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL.
SPECIAL MEETING

A spatial meeting of the ELthani Borougn Council was held last night for the purpose of confirming tne resolution fixing the rates, and also the rebate to oe allowed for the period 1927-28. The meeting was also for the purpose of receiving -the tenders for the lease of the Soldiers’ Memorial Park.
There were two tenders for the larger area, viz.. Mr A. C. Ricketts £BO and J. Phillips £96.—The tender of Mr PliiLlips was accepted. For the smaller area, comprising three acres, thißie were opem tenders, viz., Mr Xewlove £l2, Arr Madden £l2 10s, and J. Phillips £ls.—Mr Phillips’ tender was accepted.
