The Bristol machine used by Lieut. Frcwen is essentially designed for land flights, and conversion to floats may not. be practicable. However, it. is possible Lieut. Frowcn rnav bring his machine over to New Zealand, where there are no regulations such as in Australia, and flying from Auckland via Norfolk Island and will then leave from that island to Australia.
