ELECTROCUTED.

FATAL RADIO HABIT. WIRE IN MOUTH. LONDON, Sept. 10. The new trick of putting the end of the wire connected with the earth terminal of a crystal set into the mouth, and thereby obtaining a strong reception while listening in with ear-phones, was responsible for the death of a Newport- boy named Alfred Arthur. . Engineers found that a defective electric flex leading from a reading lamp standing on the table at the lad’s bedside was entwined around the metal bed rail. It is presumed that Arthur grasped the bed rail while listening in and that he had the earth wire in -his mouth, thus receiving the- full voltage of a lighting circuit. He was instantly electrocuted.
