BOWLING.
MEETING OF NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 13. The annual meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Bowling Association was held yesterday, when Mr A. J. Benzie, of Christchurch, was. elected president. The retiring president ('Mr J. W. Hardley), said that the association, was in an excellent position. The balancesheet showed a credit of £73 on the year’s working, m a Icing the total L credit £193. The Council decided to hold the next annual tournament at Christchurch, he sinning on Januarv 10, 1928. The selectors appointed to pick the team to visit Melbourne and to play Australia in December were: Messrs W. A. K. Smith (New Plymouth), J. Kershaw (Wellington). G. AVI. Thomson (Auckland), J. Moyes (Tim am), I). M. Fastier (Dunedin), and A. .T. Benzie (Christchurch).
