Among those who have .booked accommodation for the evening at the Central Hotel are Mr. J. Beard accompanied by Iris' wife who wias the leading lady of the Wanganui Operatic Society for many years and Mr. P. M. McDonald, the .secretary of the Wanganui society, who i.s accompanied by Mrs. McDonald.

After an illnpss extending over six years, the death occurred at Cambridge Convent this week of Mother M. Ligouri, aged 42 years, in the 23rd year of her religious life. In private life <she was the youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Charles Drumgool, Tuakau. She .studied at the Sacred Heart Convent. Christchurch, subsequently being transferred to Opunake, Taranaki and then to Hamilton. She came to Cambridge six years ago for health reasons.
