COST £842,000. ADMINISTRATIVE B LOCK. CANBERRA, August 30. Before long the biggest constructional job yet tackled at Canberra will be commenced. The Federal Capital Commission lias called for tenders for the construction of foundations for the permanent administrative block. The building will cost £842,000, and it will be the first large monumental edifice at the capital. It is to he erected in the legislative area, close to Parliament House, but it will not be occupied for a considerable time. It is anticipated that the big job will take four years to complete.
