TURUTURU SCHOOL

OFFICIAL OPENING ON SEPTEMBER. 19.

Telegraphic advice was to-day received by Air. A. K. Eyson, chairman of the Tujruturu School Committee, from the Taranaki Education Board that the, Minister of Education the. Hon. A. A. W,light, would officially open the school on Monday, September 19, at 2.30 p.m. The work at the school would connivence at the opening of the term on Monday next, but the official opening had; been postponed foir a week to suit the: convenience: of the Minister.

Speaking with a reporter ol “ Hie Hiawera Star,” Mr. F’yson said that it was expected that the initial roll of pupils attending, the school would be large. Airs. Rowland had. been appointed relieving assistant with Mrs. Carter, temporary head teacher. The permanent staff would be appointed when it was known how many children would attend the school.
