LONDON’S MAIL MATTER.
SPECIAL TRANSIT TUBE BUILT. BY CABLE—PEESS ASSOCIATION —CnrYEIGH ' Received 12.35 p.m. to-day. LONDON, Aug. 25. The construction has been completed of London’s latest tube, which has been specially built to carry London’s mail matter. * There will be six stations between Whitechapel and Paddington. Driverless electric- trains will carry forty-five tons of mail matter in each direction every hour, saving postal van transit to the extent of four hundred thousand miles per annum.
