BERLIN, Aug. 25. At Hamburg, Communist Sacco demonstrators barricaded the streets and attacked the poLioe, flinging stones ana jetties. They dragged out a policeman off duty who was travelling in a mam car and -brutally illtreated him. the policeman endeavoured to escape, but was collared after running a few yards, recaptured, bludgeoned a.i.-t stabbed to death. Police rushing to the rescue received in hail of stones and retaliated with revolver sh-ots. Order was restored after several hours’ fighting. Several police and -numerous onlookers were njured. Ma.ny arrests were made.—<■ A.P.A. and “Sun.”
